  1. I object to this development for the following reasons.

More houses are not needed, this will not benefit shipston and its residents, it will only benefit the land owners and the developers.

Shipston has already had major expansion causing issues with sewage, traffic, lack of suitable parking, loss of important services such as no Hospital resulting in no medical cover after 5pm and weekends. No police station, no fire station, no bank.

The town has no major employer resulting in residents having to travel long distances to find work, which will result in more vehicles, more pollution, bigger impact on our environment and nature. Increase volumes of traffic on Hanson Avenue which is a residential area not a major trunk road.

This development and all the other proposed developments will have a significant impact on the quality of life in the town. we are on the edge of the Cotswolds and its a pleasant place to live but this is being destroyed. the town has grown slowly over many years these developments will overwhelm the place.

Why build new homes on the green belt when brown field sites in the area offer more than enough space? I was told at a Consultation meeting that brown field sites will be given priority but I have yet to see evidence of this!

Shipston is built in the Stour valley and didnt impact on the views of the countryside but more houses above Hanson Avenue etc will have a negative affect on these views, particularly when travelling towards Shipston from St Denis area.
