NO, NO, NO, NO – shipston can not cope with more houses, not can the doctor surgery, schools one primary and one senior, one NHS dentist plus issue with Severn Trent water with flooding and sewage leaking.
NO more houses, Doctors, dentist, schools can’t cope. Drainage is awful, Seven Trent having to attend to blockages. We are a small Town already too many people and cars. Building on fields and flood plains is a stupid idea. More concrete , more flooding.
Firstly, Shipston has overfulfilled its quote of new build housing comparative to other areas of the county. Secondly, the land at Shoulderway Lane only has a single track road flanked by houses and a Grade II listed church as its access, it’s completely unsuitable to support any new development. That lane is a lane enjoyed by a large amount of the community as a walk. The gradient of which the proposed fields of Shoulderway Lane are on would be unsuitable for building, and would cause a horrifically negative impact for the residents on Hawthorn Way. Shipston‘s infrastructure cannot cope with any more development.
There is no six form to support the growing community. There is no police station permanently anymore, there is no minor injuries or first aid unit.
Absolute madness the drains in Hanson avenue and elsewhere won’t cope. There is no infrastructure, need factories supermarkets places people who believe there can work as retirement isn’t an option it’s all just money money money for houses that are not needed. Building on flood plains! How do you get rid of the newts and other protected species??
Shipston is already over-housed and at risk of losing it’s character. More houses will overwhelm the central roads + parking
