  1. Cherington and Stourton have approx 211 households on the council tax register. The villages have no proper bus service, no shop, no mains gas and no school.
    The electric supply is dodgy and the sewage works is the one of the worst performing in the SDC parliamentary constituency.
    The villages have evolved in a valley which is now at high risk of flooding due to climate change.

    Why is this a proposal about 812 houses, where all the houses will need a car. The roads through the village would not cope, cannot be widened and alternative routes are not available.

    A few houses maybe but in a farming community, with war developing everywhere, needs to keep access to farm land to feed the country.
    A solar farm could easily convert back to food production.
